Privacy Policy
Kocha (“the app”) is made by Blue Orca LLC (“we”, “us”).
The short version
The app keeps your information on your phone. We do not run a server for it, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect, see, sell or share your teams, rosters, plans or games. There is no advertising and no tracking or analytics in the app.
What the app stores on your phone
When you use the app you may enter:
- Team information: team names, sport, player names, jersey numbers and positions, and who is available.
- Practice plans and your drill library (drill names, notes, categories, and pictures you add to a drill).
- Substitution plans, lineups, lines and game records (playing times, penalties, notes you type).
- Your settings and a few markers the app needs to work (for example, when your free trial started and which hints you have seen).
All of this is stored only on your device. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it from your phone (see “Backups and sharing” below for the exceptions you control).
Permissions the app may ask for
- Camera and photo library: only if you choose to add a picture to a drill. The picture is copied into the app’s own storage on your phone and resized there. The “Enhance” option also runs on your phone. Nothing is sent to us.
- Notifications: only if you turn on lock-screen alerts. The alerts are scheduled and shown by your phone. Nothing is sent to us.
The app does not ask for access to your contacts, microphone or location.
Children’s information
The app is for coaches and other adults, not for children, and it does not collect information from children. A coach may type a player’s name or number into the app as part of running a team. That information stays on the coach’s device and is not sent to us. If you are a coach, you are responsible for deciding what you record about the players you coach and for following the rules that apply to your team or league.
Backups and sharing (only when you choose)
- Export: the app can create a backup file and open your phone’s share sheet. The file goes only where you send it (email, Files, a cloud drive, another coach). We do not receive it. The file includes your teams, plans, drills, saved games and drill pictures.
- Android folder backup: on Android you can choose a folder for automatic backup files. They are written to that folder on your device or cloud drive, by you.
- Phone backups: your phone’s own backup service (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include the app’s data if you have those turned on. That is controlled by your phone settings and the phone maker, not by us.
Purchases
Purchases (unlocking features or drill packs) are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see or store your payment details. The stores tell the app what you own, and the app checks that on your device. Their privacy policies govern that information.
Support and feedback
If you choose “Contact Support” or “Send feedback”, the app opens your own email app with a message addressed to support@blueorcalabs.com. The message may be pre-filled with your phone type, system version and app version, which you can read and edit before sending. We receive only what you decide to send, and we use it only to reply and to improve the app. If you ask the app to rate it, your phone shows its own review box, and any review is handled by the store.
Information we collect automatically
None. The app does not use analytics, crash reporting that sends data to us, advertising identifiers, or location.
This website
This website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs (such as your IP address and the pages requested) to run and protect the service. We do not use those logs to identify you.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not have it.
Your choices
You can edit or delete anything in the app at any time. Removing the app removes the data it stores on your phone. Backup files you created or shared are yours to delete.
Security
Your data stays on your device, so it is protected by your phone’s own security (screen lock, encryption). Keep your phone and any backup files you share somewhere safe.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your information, we will update this page and the effective date, and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app.
